TO REMAIN OR TO LEAVE?
Michael Fabricant will be participating in a debate to be held on Friday 3rd June at 7 for 7.30pm in Lichfield Cathedral. Light refreshments will be served from around 7pm before the debate commences at 7.30
Historian and MP for Stoke on Trent Central, Tristram Hunt, and Cllr Paul Ray, a local solicitor, will argue that the United Kingdom should remain in the European Union while Michael Fabricant, who before becoming an MP exported all over the world, and Mike Horridge, an economist and financier in Canary Wharf London, will argue why it they believe it is in the best interests of the United Kingdom to leave the EU.
Michael Fabricant says “Much has been published by the Government and other ‘Remain’ campaigners all warning of dire consequences if we leave the EU. The truth is that there are few ‘facts’ available when it comes to the future, but this debate will provide the opportunity for the audience to find out more and make their own judgement. After we have all spoken, the audience in the Cathedral will be able to put questions. No-one can predict the future with regard to what might happen if we remain or leave the EU, but I can predict it will be an informative and fun debate!”
The Dean of Lichfield Cathedral, Adrian Dorber, will chair the event.
