I usually link with the Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2 from another studio, but there I was, getting a haircut in London not far from New Broadcasting House, when I was asked to take part in the show.  So I rushed into the studios very windswept and with hair cuttings on my jumper.

I called HS2 a “national embarrassment” and warned Lichfield listeners about the impending closure of the A38.
