The theme of this year's show was Medieval Legends and the main ring entertainment was provided by the Knights of the Crusades, Taro the Jester and Sir Lupin of Pipwithers (a stilt-walking knight carried on the heads of his peasants) set the scene for a most enjoyable day. Visitors tried their hand at the ancient art of bellringing in the mobile bell tower and test their skill at archery.

The show benches in the competitive sections displayed some first class exhibits of art, cookery, crafts, floral art, horticulture, photography, woodwork and young crafts. The horse section and dog show were well supported and provided excellent entertainment.
