News Release

16th April 2003

NUMBER ONE

Further to the article that appeared in the Birmingham Post on Monday 14th April stating that out of the West Midlands, Michael Fabricant is the most active MP in the Commons Chamber, analysis of the data published by the House of Commons Library now shows that, in fact, Michael was the most active of all MPs throughout the nation in terms of participating in debates and in asking Ministers questions.

In the period from 13th June 2001 to 7th November 2002 he asked 67 questions and participated 79 times in debates. In addition, he is Chairman of the Information Select Committee and a member of the Culture Media and Sport Select Committee as well as All-Party Committees.
